Here is an intriguing question that I received last evening: I have heard that spirits are stuck here in our world and need help crossing over… is this true? Are they at our house because they don’t want to move on and should we be doing something to help them cross over?
I am not an expert on ‘soul rescue’ but I do know that there are light workers out there who rescue souls that are ‘stuck’ in this world and guide them back to the light. I have also heard from many sources that it is possible to help these spirits find their way to the Spirit World by telling them to follow the light.
Here is my opinion based on my many years of contact with spirits. It is quite natural for souls who cross over to the Spirit World to return to the earthly plane for visits with loved ones. Sometimes these visits can last a few weeks, a few months or a few years. Usually, these spirits check in on family members and once satisfied that the family is okay, will return to the World of Light and get on with their new life.
Those spirits who choose to remain do so for different reasons. Spirits are very real to me. Like you and I, they make choices about where they want to reside, and to what level they wish to evolve spiritually. There are many spiritual levels to aspire to in the Spirit World and even more planes of existence. Think of our Earth plane, for example, the many countries, cities, and towns that exist on our planet!
The souls who are ‘stuck’ here are still very attached to the physical world and have difficulty letting go of the material life and sometimes their loved ones left behind. Often, these souls have not developed spiritually and need assistance to guide them home (the Spirit World) so that they can continue with their soul evolution.
Then there are the spirits who are quite content to be on the Earth plane, for whatever reason. They enjoy a kind of ‘relationship’ with the household members who share the same house. Eventually, these spirits will move on…perhaps when the house they occupy is renovated or torn down. Remember, that time does not exist in the Spirit World, so 100 years to them is a mere blink of the eye.
As a spirit communicator, I would hesitate to force spirits out of anyone’s house, unless they are causing problems. Often spirits are here to teach us something and we can learn a great deal about their world. So in answer to the question, my approach would be to offer the spirits in your house—if you are comfortable with these house guests and they are not causing problems—the option of going to the light (Spirit World) or remaining. Of course, if your house spirits are causing problems, that’s a whole different story. Then it would be in your best interests to seek out a Soul Rescue Worker to evict them.

This evening I was part of a hand drumming circle in a church and when no one was singing, several of us heard a woman’s voice chanting between the rhythms…beautiful vibrational dimensions. (Thomas) I look at these moments as blessings or gifts. Music rocks in the Spirit World! I guess the spiritual word is ‘resonates’!! Beverley
We live in a large two storey brick building built in 1895. Above the kitchen is a small bedroom and bathroom. My guess is that the bedroom was a maid’s room. When this sighting occurred, our guest was a paraplegic and couldn’t walk up the stairs, so she slept on a hide-a-bed in the living room. On two consecutive nights she saw a ghostly shape at the end of her bed. The figure wasn’t very distinct but it was a woman dressed in turn of the 19th century clothing. It didn’t speak or communicate with her but my friend was quite scared. My guess was that the ghostly figure was a maid, although now we know of particular deaths that would account for the ghost. (Jack) Ghosts are as curious about us as we are about them. Our sleeping hours are the most popular times for them to visit. Beverley
